The 48-year-old praised the couple for openly acknowledging their one-year-long relationship, going so far as to draw a parallel between their love story and his own high-profile romance.
He went on to explain, “Gwen and I did just that.” In essence, it was as if he were saying, ‘Obviously, I’m dating Gwen Stefani. I want everyone to understand.’ You get the picture? Travis explained on his New Heights podcast during its July 26th episode that he felt let down because she doesn’t engage in conversation before or after her performances, as she needs to preserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Consequently, he regretted not getting the chance to give her one of his handmade bracelets.
Following his on-stage blunder, which Taylor himself referred to as “rock solid” in hindsight, Travis bravely extended an invitation for the Grammy recipient to witness the Chiefs play live at Arrowhead Stadium.
He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had suggested something and invited her to challenge him. He said, “I’ve noticed your amazing performances at Arrowhead, so why don’t you come show me how it’s done there?
