No More Room in Hell 2 Launches Into Steam Early Access on October 22nd

As a seasoned survivor of countless zombie apocalypses in video games, I can’t help but feel a surge of adrenaline upon hearing about the imminent arrival of No More Room in Hell 2. Having braved the undead hordes in modded Half-Life 2 back in the day, and later in the original game, I’ve come to appreciate the thrill of cooperative survival horror that Torn Banner Studios offers.

After initial announcements and some setbacks, Torn Banner Studios’ “No More Room in Hell 2” launches on Steam Early Access on October 22nd. As a follow-up to the 2013 survival horror game (originally a mod for Half-Life 2), it preserves its eight-player cooperative mode and zombie combat. You can get a sneak peek of the new gameplay in the trailer below.

On Steam, the game’s creator has affirmed their intention to keep the game in its early access phase for at least a year. The game will feature permanent character death, diverse enemy types, distinctive “enemy encounter” instances, a range of melee and ranged weapons, a dismemberment system for zombies, traps, explosives, and an evolving storyline. At the moment, only one map, the Power Plant, is accessible, but it will boast over a dozen points of interest with puzzle-like challenges and rewards.

In the final edition, Torn Banner intends to add extra maps, weapons, narratives, and customization options. The exact early access pricing hasn’t been disclosed yet, but it will be affordable, with a potential rise as we approach the full version.
