This relationship breached the magazine’s guidelines concerning conflicts of interest and disclosure issues.
The magazine reported that an internal evaluation of the work submitted by the 31-year-old, who is fiancée to Politico’s Chief Washington Correspondent Ryan Lizza, during the 2024 presidential campaign so far uncovered no errors or signs of partiality.

Later on, Nuzzi publicly issued a statement about her connection with various media outlets, including the New York Times.

About the accusations, a representative for the individual aged 70 offered a comment, pointing out an article written by the journalist that was published in November of 2023.
