Oh boy, here we go again! Big Ed Brown, the man who makes 90 Day Fiancé look like a documentary about responsible dating, is at it once more! This time he’s swept off his feet by none other than Porscha Raemond, an Italian dish who caught his eye in a Florida sandwich shop. I mean, if love doesn’t bloom over a sandwich with sparklers and a paper clip ring, then what does?
Big Ed Brown is stuck in that lavender haze.
Indeed, the 90 Day Fiancé star detailed his recent engagement to Porscha Raemond, to whom he popped the question to just one day after meeting for the first time.
He shared with Page Six that the moment he and Porscha first met was electrifying. This happened during one of his paid appearances at Capriotti’s sandwich shop in Florida earlier this month. “I was delivering these large sandwiches adorned with sparklers,” he said, “and just then, this stunning beauty, Porscha, walked in.
Ed explained that he and Porsha, who he described as his “dream girl,” immediately “hit it off.”
“She comes up, gives me the warmest hug,” he shared. “She gives me a kiss on the cheek.”
Following the opening of their sandwich store, Porscha posted about it on Instagram, which reminded Ed of the event. This prompted him to message her on Instagram, inviting her out for a meal together.
The 59-year-old said something along the lines of, “How about we get together tomorrow evening?” To which she replied, “Yes, definitely.
How exactly did Ed propose to Porscha during their evening out together? Following some shared drinks in his hotel lobby, where they affectionately held hands and shared a kiss, he confided in a friend they were dining with that she was “the one.” Inspired by this, the friend suggested he make it official on the spot.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that although Ed doesn’t possess a traditional wedding band, the restaurant manager creatively made one for him using a paperclip – a substitute due to its absence. This makeshift ring was crafted, as he shares 29-year-old daughter Tiffany with his ex-wife Sandra Heckman.
He explained, “Then I return, I take a seat. We were chatting casually, when suddenly the entire restaurant staff appears with those sparkling Roman candles. Everyone was cheering and clapping. I was turning red, and so was she, and she asked, ‘What’s all this about?’
Ed—who has previously been engaged to Liz Woods and Rose Vega—then got down on one knee.
He continued, “Everyone gets overwhelmed,” he explained. Then, he blurted out, “‘Wait, I don’t ever want to lose you, I believe I’ve found my soulmate. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.’ To which she happily agreed.
But despite a whirlwind engagement, the duo aren’t rushing down the aisle anytime soon, with Ed saying they will take the relationship slow. As he put it, they’ve only been “kissing with tongue.”
Still, he emphasized, “I’m in love.”
