As a die-hard Lizzo fan with a heart full of admiration for her resilience and talent, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon witnessing her recent transformation. On one hand, it’s fantastic to see her taking steps towards prioritizing her health and wellbeing – something every person should strive for.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, don’t say it ‘cause Lizzo knows she’s cute.
On September 18th, the artist who sings “Good As Hell” shared a video on TikTok showcasing a slimmer physique. In the video, she first appeared off-camera wearing a black two-piece, and then the video switched to her in a gray bodysuit, highlighting her weight loss.
The award-winning artist finished off the video using a popular TikTok tune, which included audio of Nicki Minaj stating, “It’s crazy to even talk about my appearance. I’ve always been a tough cookie.
However, the 36-year-old continues to uphold her affirmative stance on body positivity. In her post’s description, she penned, “Either way, I’m good.
In another TikTok update, Lizzo once again showcased her physique, this time teaming a bodysuit with sleek black leather pants and lace-up black boots while striking poses for the camera.
Updates arise as the renowned songwriter, who recently put out her latest album titled “Special” in July 2022, is temporarily stepping back to prioritize personal well-being. In a post on Instagram made public in August, she informed her followers, “I’m taking a sabbatical year and safeguarding my tranquility.
Previously, the performer known for “Truth Hurts” was served with a lawsuit by three ex-backup dancers who claimed she fostered a “toxic, abusive work atmosphere” and body-shamed them. Lizzo refuted these accusations through an Instagram post, stating in part, “At times, I must make tough choices, but it’s never my aim to cause discomfort or make someone feel undervalued as an essential team member.
In March, Lizzo initially expressed her plan to step away due to ongoing criticism, however, she clarified later on that she had no intentions of leaving the music industry.
In her Instagram post on April 2nd, she wanted to make it clear that when she says “I quit,” she actually means she will no longer focus on negativity. However, she emphasized that she won’t stop enjoying the pleasure of her life, which is creating music and connecting with people, because she understands she’s not alone in this experience.
