Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is Collaborating with Cristiano Ronaldo (No, Really)

As a lifelong fan of both Fatal Fury and football, I must say this collaboration between SNK and Cristiano Ronaldo has me utterly floored! Growing up, I never imagined seeing these two iconic entities merge into one. The idea of CR7 stepping into the ring as a playable character in Fatal Fury is just too surreal to fully comprehend!

In an unexpected turn of events and a humorous blend of worlds, legendary gaming company SNK has teamed up with football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for their upcoming fighting game, titled “Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves“.

The same was announced by the football star in a Twitter post, who shared a clip that confirms his involvement in the game. Specific details are unknown, so it remains to be seen what exactly this collaboration will entail. Could the football star be set to appear as a playable character in the fighting title? Hopefully, we’ll have concrete details in the near future.

Currently, Ronaldo plays for Al Nassr, a club based in Saudi Arabia and owned by their Public Investment Fund. On the other hand, back in 2020, SNK was purchased by the MiSK Foundation, a non-profit organization belonging to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. It’s possible that these two entities might have formed a connection, although this is simply conjecture.

The fighting game titled “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves” is set to release on April 24 of the next year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms. It’s been confirmed by SNK that this game will receive three years worth of additional content after its launch. You can find more details about the post-launch content here.
