Big Brother confirms start date as series returns to ITV

As a longtime fan of reality television, I am absolutely thrilled about the return of Big Brother! The anticipation is palpable as we approach the grand premiere on October 6th. Last year’s season was a rollercoaster ride filled with unexpected twists and turns, but the highlight for me was undeniably Jordan Sangha’s journey. His win was well-deserved, and his subsequent romance with Henry Southan added an emotional depth that kept viewers hooked.

After the debut of ITV’s reboot last year and the premiere of a fresh celebrity version earlier this year, it’s now confirmed when Big Brother will be back on air again.

Beginning this coming Sunday, 6th October, at 9 o’clock in the evening, the second installment of ITV’s revamped classic reality series will be broadcast on both ITV2 and ITVX.

Instead of last year’s pre-recorded reveal, I’m thrilled to experience a fully live unveiling of the housemates this year, as they step into the recently renovated Big Brother House, ready to embark on their journey!

For the upcoming season, the live shows, along with other events, will once more be hosted by the dynamic duo, AJ Odudu and Will Best. They’ll also be back to host Big Brother: Late & Live.

This year, ITV is bringing back the live stream, giving viewers an opportunity to watch live from the house every night of the week on ITVX, up until late hours.

An initial sneak peek has been unveiled, featuring Odudu and Best observing as a pack of guinea pigs venture into and explore a scaled-down replica of the Big Brother House.

In the previous year, lawyer Jordan Sangha emerged victorious during the regular season, whereas this year, David Potts claimed victory in the celebrity special.

Jordan, not just taking home the title from the show, also encountered Henry Southan during that time, whom he subsequently developed a relationship with.

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I can’t help but reminisce about the beautiful friendship-turned-relationship that unfolded on the silver screen in previous seasons. Here’s to hoping this year will bring more heartwarming moments, perhaps even a dash of romance, and maybe a touch of the dramatic, as their story continues to unfold.

Big Brother returns on Sunday 6th October at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
