Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake to Get New Details “When the Time is Right”, per Saber

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent traversing galaxies far, far away, I can hardly contain my excitement for Saber Interactive’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake. Having played the original game back in 2003, I remember the epic storyline, the compelling characters, and the immersive universe that BioWare so skillfully crafted.

As a gamer, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with the success of Saber Interactive’s “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.” It’s so impressive that it’s prompting the developers to reconsider their strategies for ongoing projects, and that definitely includes the “Star Wars: Knights of the Republic – Remake” I’ve been eagerly anticipating. Initially announced for PS5 and PC in 2021, it found itself caught up in rumors of cancellation.

Following the success of Space Marine 2, are we getting any closer to seeing its remake completed? According to CCO Tim Willits of Saber Interactive, they are currently dedicated to development and are eager to reveal more details when the time is appropriate. Unfortunately, there’s no specific timeline for release, but it’s clear that work on the project is moving forward.

Originally planned as a remake by Aspyr Media, based on the classic RPG “Star Wars: Knights of the Republic,” faced an indefinite delay following negative reactions from studio leadership to a demo version (also known as a vertical slice). This led to the dismissal of design director Brad Prince and art director Jason Minor. The Embracer Group, which owns Aspyr, has not provided any updates on its progress.

Following its separation from the original company, Saber Interactive reassured gamers that the remake project remains active and thriving, and they are dedicated to surpassing all expectations. Keep an eye out for future announcements, whenever they may come.
