Snowpiercer boss hints at series’s return after season 4 finale

As a movie buff with a penchant for sci-fi and a soft spot for intriguing narratives, I must say that the conclusion of Snowpiercer has left me feeling like a passenger who just disembarked from a rollercoaster ride. The journey was thrilling, suspenseful, and at times, heart-wrenching.

In the United Kingdom, enthusiasts continue to anticipate the fourth and concluding season of Snowpiercer, while viewers in America have already witnessed its conclusion, as the finale wrapped up the narrative – at least temporarily.

Back in June 2022, it was revealed that the fourth season of Snowpiercer would be its final one, as US network TNT opted not to broadcast it. However, the series managed to find another platform and continued on AMC instead.

According to Paul Zbyszewski in an interview with TV Line, there had been discussions about possibly extending the series past Season 4 if it proved popular. However, he also mentioned that the general feeling was that this might be the final season.

Moving ahead, I felt it necessary to map out the upcoming season. From the start, it became clear that it would have a conclusive finish, which was made official early on in the process.

Moving forward to discussing the conclusion of the series, Zbyszewski was questioned about the fate of the main train in light of the events that took place during the final episode.

He mentioned, “Where does the real Snowpiercer train end up? That’s an interesting query. I suppose someone else can provide that information.

Currently, it’s located at New Eden. As far as I’m aware, someone else hasn’t taken it for a ride yet, which means we don’t know where else it might go or what else might be happening out there in the world.

It looks like the show might come back someday, even though it seems doubtful right now, as creator Zbyszewski hasn’t fully closed the door on a potential return.

The show draws inspiration from both the 2013 film “Snowpiercer,” directed by Bong Joon-ho, and the 1982 French graphic novel “The Transperceneige” by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand, and Jean-Marc Rochette. It features Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly in its cast.
