Discussing a recent online stir, fans pointed out that Travis Kelce’s and Jason Kelce’s mother was incorrectly identified as Taylor Swift’s mom (Andrea Swift), due to a mix-up in identities.
Everything started when the actor from Star Wars, Mark Hamill, responded to a picture of Andrea at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game on September 15, wearing an “In my 87 era” pin – a reference to both Travis’ jersey number and Taylor’s current Eras Tour – by posting “#ILoveTaylorSwift’s mom.” in a comment.
On September 16th, the user known as chiefsera24 shared a post, remarking on it with “This is the nicest thing I’ve come across today,” and instead of tagging Andrea, they tagged Donna.
Due to the tag, social media users assumed that the fan might not be able to distinguish between the two well-known blonde moms. However, Donna demonstrated her affection for her online followers by addressing the user personally on September 20th with a warm message saying, “I love you too!!”.
The validation from the NFL mamma was what the X user needed, writing, “Mrs Kelce I’m sorry I got you in the middle of this twisted narrative. I actually did make a mistake and said so right away but …. Twitter did what twitter does. I appreciate this gracious post and btw I love you too. Best mom living her best life.”
Regardless of the misunderstanding between Donna and Andrea, there’s no doubt about their friendship, which was evident when they were seen enjoying a heartwarming moment during the September 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. In their private box, Donna and Andrea exchanged a warm hug before engaging in a brief conversation while Donna affectionately clung to Andrea’s arm.

As a devoted Swift fan, I couldn’t miss Taylor Swift’s latest concert, hoping to present her with a friendship bracelet adorned with my jersey number. Regrettably, my attempt to connect with her was thwarted by her pre-performance routines.
Travis explained on his New Heights podcast (July 26th episode) that he felt let down because she doesn’t chat before or after her performances, as she needs to conserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. Consequently, he regretted not being able to give her a bracelet I made for her.
Following a blunder he later labeled as “purely metal,” Travis boldly extended an invitation to the Grammy-winning artist, asking him to come watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.
He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had suggested an idea: “I invited her to challenge me in a performance at Arrowhead Stadium, and I said something like, ‘You’ve impressed me with your performances there, now it’s time for us to see who can put on a better show.’ So, we’ll wait and see what the outcome will be in the upcoming days.
Travis had grown a mustache, which he unveiled in August at the training camp, when he initially met Taylor for the first time.
