As a seasoned EastEnders viewer, I can’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for the Moon family. The struggle with their wayward son Tommy is a tale as old as time, isn’t it? Alfie’s heart-to-heart with his boy, only to lose his job, seems like a classic soap opera twist. But let’s not forget, in Walford, one man’s misfortune is another man’s gain – in this case, Tommy’s. It seems he’s already found a new way to manipulate the situation, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him running the Minute Mart before long!

Next week, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) experiences a significant surprise. We’ll witness the final appearance of her assailant, Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler).
In other locations, Bianca Jackson, portrayed by Patsy Palmer, resorts to underhanded tactics to coax the truth from the suspect Reiss Colwell, played by Jonny Freeman.
Tom Moon’s (Sonny Kendall) misconduct persists, as Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) rekindles her relationship with former flame Junior Knight (Micah Balfour).

1. Yolande Trueman reels as Pastor Clayton is found dead
Yolande appears uncertain about joining the Harvest Festival activities at the community center, but Patrick (Rudolph Walker) attempts to persuade her.
DS Amartey unexpectedly interrupts, disclosing that yet another woman has surfaced with allegations against Pastor Clayton in the ongoing case.
Yolande discovers comfort in Amy, who provides a source of encouragement for her. Consequently, Yolande makes her way to the community center, bringing joy to both Levi and Agatha in the process.
Everything seems to be smooth sailing until Stella, Clayton’s wife, unexpectedly appears, requesting Yolande to recant her accusations against Clayton. Later on, at home, an agitated Pastor Clayton bursts in.
In The Queen Vic, unaware Patrick frets over Yolande alongside Kim Fox (played by Tameka Empson) and Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson). Meanwhile, Clayton urges Yolande to amend her statement, but she resolutely declines.
Previously, Pastor Clayton was escorted away by Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega), leaving Patrick, Kim, and Howie stunned by the events unfolding. However, Yolande demonstrated resilience by bravely confronting her assailant.
As the night draws to a close, Yolande and Patrick find themselves abruptly halted by the arrival of the police. They learn that Reverend Clayton has taken his own life. The revelation leaves Yolande stunned, prompting her loved ones to gather around her for support as she grapples with the uncertainty of her future path.
Later on, Stella shows up to console Yolande, and Patrick does his best to soothe her following the event. Will Yolande be able to move forward knowing that Pastor Clayton will not be held accountable for his actions?

2. Bianca Jackson tries to trick Reiss Colwell into confessing
Bianca persists in interacting with Reiss, even as Sonia Fowler’s (Natalie Cassidy) court appeal approaches. Her goal is to secure her sister’s release, and she notices Reiss with a puzzling note. This suggests that Bianca is keeping a close eye on Reiss, possibly in search of information or help for her sister’s case.
As a devoted Kat Slater fan, I found myself in a whirlwind of events when Bianca, who’d been acting strangely, agreed to step back. But the shocker came when I stumbled upon Reiss’s hidden letter. All this unfolded as Debbie Colwell’s parents, accompanied by a lawyer, arrived to discuss her will, adding another layer of intrigue to the already chaotic situation.
In this scenario, Reiss tells Bianca to depart, but she secretly overhears Debbie’s demands instead. Later, Bianca goes to the café to discuss Reiss and Debbie’s marital issues with Brenda (Nichola McAuliffe) and Hugh Collins (Michael Bertenshaw).
Afterward, Bianca heads over to where Kat works at the taxi dispatch center to share her recent doubts. However, Kat makes an effort to convince Bianca to schedule a doctor’s visit instead, but Bianca departs to locate Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) instead.
As a movie buff, I sneakily concealed Freddie’s microphone used for birdwatching, giving me the perfect opportunity to capture Reiss’s confession on tape!
She keeps giving Reiss drinks in an attempt to get him to confess something, and it seems like he’s starting to reveal secrets – but then Freddie steps in and interrupts.
Afterward, I engage Bianca in conversation regarding her wellbeing, yet she brushes me off. Could it be that Bianca holds the key to exposing Reiss and takes the necessary steps towards seeking support for her mental health?
3. Tommy Moon puts on an act amid vile behaviour
Kat and Alfie Moon (played by Shane Richie) are still grappling with issues surrounding Tommy, who’s been skipping school. Kat reprimands Alfie for not taking firmer control over their son, prompting Alfie to shut down the bookies ahead of schedule to have a serious talk with Tommy instead.
But this leads Alfie to lose his job, and Tommy puts on a nice-guy act in front of Kat and Alfie. However, it’s clear that the situation is far from resolved.
Afterward, Tommy assists Alfie in securing employment at the Minute Mart, however, Alfie encounters an unanticipated twist during the job interview. Eventually, Kat persuades Alfie to accept the position, yet the question remains whether they can handle Tommy’s demeanor.
4. Cindy Beale clashes with Ian Beale amid Junior Knight passion
Cindy urges her daughter, Anna Knight (Molly Rainford), to embrace her emotions towards Freddie. As a result, both decide to rekindle their friendship by going on a bird-watching outing together.
After spending the afternoon birdwatching, Freddie and Anna return to The Queen Vic, only to encounter Ian Beale’s displeased gaze upon their arrival. Ian, not one to hide his feelings, openly expresses his discontent.
After departing, Cindy unequivocally communicates her unwillingness to pardon Ian’s actions, and then finds reasons to go to Beale’s Eels for a heated rendezvous with Junior instead.
After Ian leaves for the restaurant, Cindy and Junior conclude their meeting – however, later on, Junior devises a scheme to have more private moments with Cindy.
The pair head to a nearby hotel for another tryst, and afterwards, Junior asks Cindy for lunch.
But he’s quietly hurt when Cindy dismisses the idea. Is Junior in love with Cindy?
5. George Knight bonds with Kojo Asare
George tries to bond with Kojo, but his efforts continue to fall flat.
Over the course of the week, George tries again, and gradually, his bond with his brother strengthens as he guides him through the workings of The Queen Vic’s bar.
Is Kojo starting to feel at home?
