Jujutsu Kaisen Epilogue Confirms a Big Revival and an Even Bigger Death

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen more than a few series come and go. But none have quite captured my heart like Jujutsu Kaisen. The emotional rollercoaster that is Chapter 270 had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

In the upcoming chapter, Jujutsu Kaisen, a popular manga by Gege Akutami, will conclude its six-year run in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The penultimate issue has revealed that one major character is still alive, while another significant figure has met their end before the series reaches its conclusion. In the final chapters, the story has been wrapping up any remaining plot threads left after the fight against Sukuna in the Shinjuku Showdown arc.

In the aftermath of all the events, the main characters Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki have reunited in Jujutsu Kaisen. As other Jujutsu Sorcerers gradually resume their normal lives, it’s become clear that Japan has suffered significant damage due to the Culling Game. Some of the resurrected sorcerers are still causing trouble amidst the chaos, while those who lost their lives during the game will never return. This grim reality has led to some important revelations and confirmations about the state of things moving forward.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270: Who Dies?

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but reflect on the poignant events of Chapter 270 in Jujutsu Kaisen. Megumi Fushiguro and Shoko Ieiri paid their respects at Tsumiki’s grave, his beloved sister who met her end when Yorozu, a revived sorcerer, possessed her body as part of Sukuna’s quest for assistance. However, amidst the tumultuous Culling Game, this resurrected sorcerer didn’t survive long either. Tragically, this means that Megumi was unable to prevent Tsumiki from meeting her untimely end. It’s a burden of failure he now bears heavily.

In this state, Megumi found himself grappling with difficulties once Sukuna completely overtook his body. His sorrow stemmed from the realization that he’d allowed his body to be taken, but more so because he couldn’t shield his sister. This was their motivation for joining the Culling Game initially, but events soon spiraled out of control. Regrettably, after enduring numerous battles together, Tsumiki tragically succumbed as everything concluded.

Despite the dark turn of events during the Culling Game, there were moments of hope for the chapter. Fans are introduced to the surviving Jujutsu Sorcerers, who continue to exist within Japan due to the game’s premature conclusion. Among these individuals are those who awakened their powers during the tournament (such as Higuruma) and those who miraculously returned from death. From now on, it falls upon Yuji and Hana to isolate each of them from their special abilities, as they will pose a threat in the future that must be addressed.

Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270: Who Lives?

Among the survivors, there’s Fumihiko Takaba, who seems to have outlived his battle against Kenjaku. In chapter 270 of Jujutsu Kaisen , we catch a fleeting moment of Takaba as he collaborates on a new comedy skit with someone strongly resembling Suguru Geto (although their facial features are hidden). Despite his unexpected survival, it somewhat fits the eccentric manner in which he appeared to perish during the Shinjuku Showdown. Given his Cursed Technique, Takaba and Kenjaku engaged in a full-blown comedic exchange, making his survival a bit less shocking.

When he was wrapped up, it appeared that Takaba had perished since he was attired in full funeral attire. This humorous farewell suited his character well, and Kenjaku proceeded with the rest of his scheme. They had both shared a mutual appreciation for their comedic chemistry, and Kenjaku seemed saddened by Takaba’s demise. However, compared to other fight conclusions in the series, Takaba’s death didn’t seem as definitive as those other finales.

Just like a comic relief character in humor manga, Takaba seemed invincible. Considering how other characters have returned from what appeared to be deadly situations, it’s logical that Takaba managed to survive his encounter with Kenjaku. It seems he was never truly in danger and leaving the series during the Culling Game and Shinjuku Showdown arcs was simply a way to remove him from those events. Now that everything is over, it’s not surprising at all that he’s back to living his normal life again.
