As a longtime fan who has journeyed through the dark and gritty streets of Gotham City alongside Batman, the news that Rocksteady Studios is rumored to be working on another Batman game fills me with unbridled excitement! After the disappointing turn of events with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it’s a breath of fresh air to hear that they might return to their roots.
It appears that “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” has not fared well for WB Games and its developer, Rocksteady Studios, resulting in significant setbacks. However, following this misfortune, it seems that Rocksteady is eager to revisit the elements that originally earned it widespread acclaim.
According to Nick Baker, co-founder of XboxEra and a well-known leaker, he has hinted on Twitter that the studio responsible for creating the Batman: Arkham series is currently working on a new Batman game. It’s unclear whether this game will be part of the Arkham series or something entirely fresh, but Baker suggests that Sony is trying to negotiate an exclusivity agreement for the project with PlayStation.
Previously this year, Jason Schreier from Bloomberg reported that due to the disappointing critical and financial performance of “Suicide Squad”, Rocksteady was planning to go back to its original style with a fresh single-player game. Furthermore, it is also rumored that the studio is aiding in the development of an unannounced expanded version of Avalanche Software’s “Hogwarts Legacy”. For more information, click here.
It’s unclear which game studio people are most eager for, but I’ve heard that Rocksteady Studios is returning to develop it. On the other hand, it seems like Sony is attempting to capitalize on it, humorously speaking.
