EastEnders villain left for dead in chilling early iPlayer release

As a long-time EastEnders fan who has witnessed more family dramas than I care to remember, last night’s episode was nothing short of heart-stopping. The Panesar family saga reached an all-time high with Nish’s chilling vendetta against Vinny. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a villain relish in causing so much pain and misery.

It was a huge night of reckoning for the Panesar family on EastEnders (24th September 2024).

Yesterday’s nail-biting cliffhanger left Nish (played by Navin Chowdhry), seeking retaliation, as he abducted Vinny (Shiv Jalota) following his exposure of Nish’s scheme with Suki (Balvinder Sopal) to seize control of the Panesar empire.

A sudden, chilling realization hit Vinny when he spotted his potentially lethal father appearing in the back seat of the taxi he believed would be his escape vehicle.

Vinny was as far away from safety as possible when Nish began revealing to his child that he already knew all the secrets, prompting an abrupt and violent response, which resulted in him striking Vinny with a coffee grinder.

Vinny lay there, severely wounded and losing blood, but Nish wasn’t done with him; he continued tormenting Vinny by brandishing a knife as if to plunge it into him.

As I conversed with Kat (Jessie Wallace), it dawned on me that something wasn’t right. Impulsively, I pleaded with Ravi (Aaron Thiara) to assist me in locating our innocent relative, who we had concerns about.

Previously inside the kitchen, the threatening Nish ridiculed Vinny, on the verge of plunging a knife into him. However, the arrival of Ravi and Suki interrupted this dangerous situation.

Suki thought the matter had been settled, but Ravi disagreed and believed further discussion with Nish was necessary to finally resolve it.

In a nerve-wracking moment, I found myself witnessing Suki extend an olive branch, admitting fault for her role in the bitter dispute. However, Nish seemed reluctant to reciprocate, instead gleaming with relish at the prospect of inflicting maximum distress upon his former spouse.

A blazing row continued and as Suki left the room, Nish was left screaming at her – before it turned into screams of pain when his heart condition took over.

When Suki returned, Nish was lying on the floor, breathing terribly.

She thought about calling for help for him, until the penny dropped.

“This will never stop. You said it, Nish. This will never end,” she said.

In that moment, I found myself settling down, ensuring my phone was tucked aside, and taking a sip of whiskey as Nish’s breaths grew heavier.

Is this really the end of Nish Panesar?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer.
