Ghost of Tsushima Has Sold Over 13 Million Units

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that the announcement of Ghost of Yōtei has sent shivers down my spine and filled me with anticipation. Having immersed myself in the beautiful world of Tsushima just over two years ago, I’ve been eagerly waiting for more adventures set in this captivating land.

Sucker Punch and Sony have unveiled Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to their acclaimed open world samurai epic, Ghost of Tsushima, and alongside that announcement, they have also provided updated sales numbers for the 2020 original.

According to an article in the New York Times, it’s been announced that the popular action-adventure game “Ghost of Tsushima” has now exceeded sales of 13 million copies worldwide. This figure represents a significant increase from its earlier total of 9.7 million units sold, as of July 2022.

Earlier this year, “Ghost of Tsushima” was released on PC, marking a significant milestone as it turned out to be Sony’s most successful Steam debut for a single-player game so far. Furthermore, it claimed the top spot on the best-seller charts in the United States during May.

A film adaptation of “Ghost of Tsushima” is currently being produced, with Chad Stahelski, known for his work on “John Wick”, at the helm.
