Made in Chelsea spin-off Beyond Chelsea confirms cast with 3 former stars

As a film enthusiast with a penchant for reality TV and a soft spot for the British socialite drama scene, I must admit that my heart skipped a beat upon hearing the news of the return of Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue, and Lucy Watson to our screens in Beyond Chelsea. It’s been quite some time since we last saw them navigating the glamorous yet tumultuous world of Chelsea, and I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia coupled with curiosity about what their lives have become since then.

Originally from the series “Made in Chelsea,” Binky Felstead, Rosie Fortescue, and Lucy Watson will be coming back to E4 for a fresh spin-off program scheduled for release by the end of 2024.

As reported by the broadcaster, a two-part series titled “Beyond Chelsea” (tentative title) will have the trio opening up about their lives once more. This means viewers get a glimpse into what they’ve been doing since their appearances on the hit reality show wrapped up.

The summary alludes to “three of the most recognizable characters from Made in Chelsea,” it continues: “As they enter their thirties, these individuals are confronted with fresh obstacles and significant life moments. The series will trace their journeys, involving their families, confidants, and as they manage family responsibilities, organize events, and run flourishing businesses.

When discussing the latest season of the show, Felstead expressed that there have been quite a few transformations since her initial appearance on the reality TV program in 2010. She specifically mentioned relocating from Chelsea, getting married, and welcoming three beautiful kids into her life.

She expressed great pride in Beyond Chelsea, a venture that she’s had a strong interest in for quite some time,” she stated.

After discussing the project with the wonderful ladies and my MIC family at Monkey and Channel 4, there was an overwhelming agreement! This series mirrors my current stage in life, yet pays tribute to the original show’s legacy. It’s simply thrilling to witness everything falling into place at last!

Fortescue mentioned that she didn’t plan to return to the screen, yet she couldn’t pass up the chance to collaborate with her dearest friend once more, clarify certain matters, and share a bit more about her life than she previously had.

Similarly, Watson expressed the same sentiments by stating, “I wouldn’t have thought I’d come back to reality TV after quitting Made in Chelsea, but surprisingly, after eight years, I find myself missing it again!

She mentioned: “I’m thrilled to join the cast of a fresh series, though I must admit, it makes me apprehensive to reveal more about my personal life.

Simultaneously, Channel 4’s Senior Commissioning Editor Clemency Green expressed her delight by saying it was “a real pleasure” to approve the series. She further commented, “These women deserve recognition for achieving such remarkable careers after the show. However, it’s clear that they, like everyone else, have experienced their highs and lows, and life for them is certainly never boring.

We’re eagerly looking forward to inviting you along as we explore with Binky, Rosie, and Lucy. We promise unique glimpses into their lives beyond Made in Chelsea, offering a peek behind the curtains.

Beyond Chelsea will air on E4 and stream on Channel 4 later this year.
