Mandy shared the news of her pregnancy on Instagram, posting a picture on May 31st. In the photo, her two sons, August “Gus”, who is 3 years old, and Oscar “Ozzie”, aged 21 months, were seen wearing shirts that read “Big” for Gus and “Middle” for Ozzie.
In the caption, the 40-year-old expressed that life occasionally mirrors art, alluding to her character on the NBC show who also has two sons and a daughter. She’s eagerly anticipating the arrival of their own third child, as she looks forward to having a little girl join her boys in the near future.
Mandy had previously expressed being open to add a third little one into their family.
She shared with TopMob News in March 2023 that while she hasn’t completely ruled out expanding her family further, she’s unsure about her husband’s feelings. Currently, he seems surprised and hesitant, expressing doubts due to the difficulty and demands of having a larger family. She acknowledges that it’s challenging, as everyone is working tirelessly right now. So, while there might be a possibility, she isn’t certain yet.
In the end, her eldest child has assumed the position of an older brother with pride, and he and Ozzie have transcended their bond as siblings to become each other’s closest friends.
In her words, “Gus behaves as an exceptional guardian figure,” the actress from Walk to Remember went on. “He truly enjoys this role. He isn’t overly envious. When Ozzie arrived, he became incredibly watchful over him. He recognizes how delicate Ozzie can be. He yearns to comfort him. It’s quite endearing.
Instead, Mandy’s pregnancy journey has not been a bed of roses, as she’s openly discussed her struggle with melasma.
But through it all, the “Candy” singer has championed the resilience that comes with motherhood.
In her conversation with TopMob, she openly admitted that she wasn’t sure if she could handle everything, given her dual roles as a mom and a working professional. However, she shared that she was doing her utmost to cope, acknowledging each day might present unique challenges. Her approach is simply to keep moving forward, taking things one step at a time.
Looking back, I’ve traversed quite a distance on my path to becoming a mother of three, a reality that seemed unattainable just three years ago when I walked out of the fertility clinic, grappling with an endometriosis diagnosis and the belief that natural conception might be beyond my reach without surgery.
In an interview with Romper in January 2021, she shared that she had made all necessary arrangements for a surgery aimed at repairing her uterus and potentially addressing the endometriosis. It was comforting to have a clear strategy and understand why she hadn’t conceived until then.
Fortunately, she discovered she was pregnant with her first child mere days before the scheduled surgery. It was already clear to everyone, even prior to her role as a new mother, that Taylor, aged 38, would make an outstanding father.
She went on to say, “I believe he’s been naturally cut out for fatherhood since a long time ago. He seems to have been preparing himself for this role. It’s amusing because in the mornings, instead of reaching for his phone like most people do, he immediately grabs whatever baby book he’s reading.

In February 2021, Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith became parents to their son named August “Gus” Harrison. Then, in October 2022, they welcomed another child, a son named Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett Goldsmith.

However, I underestimated just how exceptional and effortless you’d be at it until we experienced it together.
I’m truly impressed by all the skills you possess – your patience, kind heart, readiness to handle everything from changing diapers to comforting a crying baby, or playing with an energetic toddler whenever needed. It’s amazing how you can make Gus eat something he usually refuses and bring out Ozzie’s laughter instantly. Your music selection for our boys is fantastic too, it’s really top-notch… I could list more and more.
Mandy posted on Instagram in February 2023 that we celebrated Goosey’s birthday early with friends and family. It feels like just two years ago that we got this adorable, funny little guy, but time has really flown! We’re incredibly fortunate to have you in our lives, Gus Goldsmith.
In April 2020, Mandy posted on Instagram, “For more than six weeks now, I’ve been in quarantine with this person, and it turns out we still genuinely appreciate each other.
