Brassic gets awkward as the gang meets Carol and Ash’s auntie and uncle in teaser

As a long-time fan of gritty British comedies, I can wholeheartedly say that the upcoming season 6 of Brassic is a must-watch for anyone who appreciates a good dose of chaos, humor, and heart. The show’s unique blend of wit, drama, and raw emotion has always been its winning formula, and it seems like this season will be no exception.

As Brassic’s sixth season kicks off this week, viewers can anticipate a mix of turmoil, excitement, and intricate misadventures involving Vinnie, played by Joe Gilgun, and his companions.

In the amusing video (up top), Carol (Bronagh Gallagher) and Ash (Aaron Heffernan) present their family members, their auntie and uncle, to their group. Standing in a cluster near their door, the group begins chatting about the aunt and uncle.

As soon as she opens the door, it’s clear that Carol and Ash’s aunt greets her friends, Tommo (Ryan Sampson), Cardi (Tom Hanson), and Mick (Darren Cahill) warmly by enthusiastically talking to them while simultaneously spraying saliva.

After wiping their faces, they’re warmly welcomed by both Carol and Ash’s uncle. Without delay, he promptly gives Vinnie a hearty embrace.

Indeed, the group is present to ascertain if they possess any information regarding Niall’s location. They claim he was in one of their quarters, but had some matters to handle. The specifics of this affair are yet to be unveiled.

The upcoming season of the popular Sky comedy continues where season 5 abruptly ended, leaving viewers hanging. It appears that the main characters are now focused on sorting out their lives.

In the summary for season 6, we find the characters from ‘Brassic’ dealing with the aftermath of a dramatic finale in season 5. Despite trying to regain normalcy, they face new challenges as circumstances around them are shifting and evolving.

As time passes, more and more people are maturing, and the concept of ‘maturity’ seems to hang heavy in the atmosphere. However, one might wonder, what does ‘maturing’ signify for such an eclectic group?

The narrative proceeds: “Crocodiles that devour men, cults without clothing and overly-bronzed complexions. The MacDonaghs are intoxicated by their recent increase in power, causing more chaos. Vinnie and Erin attempt this novel ‘letting go’ phase in their relationship. Meanwhile, everyone else encounters their own difficulties – children, parents, marriages. They now carry their past with them.

“But it’s Brassic, and so there’s plenty of raucous adventure to pull the gang together. Their bond proves foolproof time and time again in this jam-packed season. Not even a giant stuffed tuna can stop them.”

Not only that, but you can expect more episodes from the series, as it was already renewed for a seventh season, long before the airing of season 6.

In response to announcing Season 7, co-creator Brocklehurst expressed surprise and excitement saying: “Wow, Season 7! I can’t believe it! Working on Brassic is such fun, and it’s an honor to keep stirring up trouble for our dedicated and adoring fans.

In a similar fashion, Alex Moody, head of comedy commissioning at Sky Studios, expressed great joy that “Vinnie” and his crew will be back for another wild journey, delivering heartfelt moments, laughter, and the incomparable swearing count of Farmer Jim, all set to entertain on Sky for a seventh series.

As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated sixth season of “Brassic” hits our screens this coming Thursday, 26th September. You can catch it on Sky Max and NOW. And here’s the best part: you’ll have the freedom to stream all episodes at your convenience!
