However, Batman himself has had limited involvement, only making a fleeting appearance of a young Bruce Wayne (Dante Pereira-Olson) in the first film. In a recent interview with IGN, director Todd Phillips hinted at how Arthur might respond to a fully-fledged Batman.
Phillips stated, “I believe Arthur would be astonished by Batman’s alpha male presence. I truly feel so. I think Arthur admired and respected it.” He continued, “I believe he’d find him awe-inspiring. I think Arthur was always drawn to men who exuded an air of comfort, and Batman is not one of those men. Murray Franklin in the movie was a man at ease. I suspect that the people Arthur worked with seemed easygoing to him, and that was something Arthur himself never could achieve.

Beetz further explained that for her, singing and dancing serve as a form of emotional release, especially during challenging times in her life. She recalled an instance when she found solace in dancing and crying alone, which mirrored the feelings and experiences of the character Arthur (the Joker). Thus, she can understand why he would express himself through song and dance.

However, it’s worth noting that Gunn highlighted that the Joker sequel is among the few forthcoming DC movies being overseen by Warner Bros. Pictures, considering when the film was initially developed.
