As a gamer who has been following Marvel comics and their adaptations for decades, I must say this latest announcement has me absolutely thrilled! The Punisher War Journal 2-pack by Hasbro is a dream come true for fans like myself. Having grown up reading the Punisher comics and being an avid collector of Marvel Legends figures, seeing Bushwacker join the lineup is nothing short of exhilarating.

Initially debuted at SDCC 2024, Hasbro recently made available a limited-edition Marvel Legends Punisher & Bushwacker duo, modeled after the Punisher War Journal comics exclusively through their Fan Channel last month. Due to high demand, it was quickly sold out but has now been restocked on Amazon for $54.99. Given its popularity, it’s likely not to be in stock for long. The Punisher action figure comes equipped with an impressive collection of weapons and interchangeable head and hand pieces. As a new addition to the Marvel Legends series, Bushwacker includes an effects piece and alternate hands, one featuring his distinctive long-barreled pistol finger.

Hey there! You might not know him, but let me tell you about Bushwacker, or Carl Burbank – a guy who swapped his priest collar for a CIA assassin’s role (not your typical career change, right?). Created by Ann Nocenti and Rick Leonardi back in 1987’s Daredevil #248, he’s mostly been hanging out in Daredevil comics. However, he’s also had run-ins with the X-Men’s Wolverine and the Punisher. What makes Bushwacker stand out is his villainous nature and his extraordinary ability to transform his cybernetic arm into a plethora of firearms – talk about a handy tool!

The Punisher Returns In Daredevil: Born Again

Discussing the character of the Punisher, Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his role as Frank Castle in the forthcoming Disney+ Marvel series titled “Daredevil: Born Again.” The series is scheduled to launch on the streaming platform in March 2025. During the D23 event, the first trailer for this series was unveiled. Bernthal believes that fans who enjoyed the initial Netflix show are eager and ready for this fresh adventure.

According to Bernthal, if you enjoyed the previous show, you’ll definitely like this one too as it builds upon the original. After Marvel Studio’s D23 presentation, he expressed that everyone involved is delighted and proud of their work. If you’re a fan of [Marvel’s Daredevil], you can expect to be thrilled with what they’ve created.

As a diehard fan, I can proudly say that Daredevil paved the way for an enthralling universe of characters like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders. These interconnected shows were unfortunately taken off the air between 2018 and 2019. However, in a delightful turn of events, Disney welcomed all six series to their streaming platform, Disney+, in 2022. By 2024, the MCU timeline on this platform was enriched with the inclusion of the “Defenders-Verse” series, bringing these beloved characters back into our lives once more.
