As a die-hard fan who’s lived through countless Alien movie premieres and rewatches more times than I can count, the anticipation for the home release of Alien: Romulus is palpable! The digital release in mid-October feels like an eternity away, but the steelbook 4K Blu-ray in December? Oh boy, that’s a Christmas present I’ve been dreaming about since last year!
Following a spectacular run at cinemas, placing it as the second-largest theatrical success in the Alien series, “Alien: Romulus” is gearing up for its homecoming. On Thursday morning, Disney and 20th Century Studios unveiled the dates for on-demand and physical home releases of “Alien: Romulus”, as well as details regarding the extra features that will be included in these editions.
I can hardly contain my excitement as a fan! In about two weeks from now, the highly anticipated movie Romulus will grace video on-demand platforms such as Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home on October 15th. For those who prefer to own a physical copy, you’ll have to be patient until December 3rd when it arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. If you can’t wait any longer, pre-orders for both digital and physical releases are already available here on Amazon!
Apart from the regular versions of all three formats, the 4K Blu-ray of Romulus will also be offered as a special edition steelbook. These steelbook editions are often priced slightly higher than standard 4K releases, but they boast an aesthetically pleasing appearance when displayed on a shelf.
