Xbox Game Pass Gets Four New Day One Games at Once in Massive Surprise

As a seasoned Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, I must say, the recent stealth drops of four new day one games have left me utterly stunned! It’s like Christmas came early this year, and Santa decided to stuff my stocking with some incredible surprises. The fact that these games were announced during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show presentation and landed on our consoles without a moment’s notice is simply mind-blowing.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members were unexpectedly gifted with a quartet of day-one releases instead of just one or two. These upcoming games came as a complete surprise to the subscribers, who didn’t anticipate their debut on Xbox consoles at all. Interestingly, out of the four new games, only one is compatible with the Xbox One, while the remaining three are playable on both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Essentially, Xbox Game Pass users on the Xbox One will only have access to a single new game instead of four.

Four unexpected games just joined Xbox Game Pass, which wasn’t entirely unanticipated. You see, these hidden surprises were revealed during the overnight presentation at the Tokyo Game Show. Coincidentally, these stealth additions came precisely when Xbox Game Pass subscribers were contemplating canceling their memberships due to a less-than-satisfactory month for the service.

Below, you can read more about all four new Xbox Game Pass games and check out trailers for each game as well. How long any of these games will be available via the subscription service, Microsoft does not say.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster

The upcoming releases are for multiple iterations of the game “Final Fantasy,” specifically versions 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Legend of Mana

“Legend of Mana”: Experience an action role-playing game set in the vibrant world of Fa’Diel! This realm is home to a diverse cast, including humans, beastmen, pirate penguins, wise dragons, and the Jumi, a race on the brink of extinction. As their values clash and align, they engage in both conflict and cooperation throughout this captivating narrative. The story unfolds against a scenic backdrop reminiscent of a whimsical picture book, accompanied by enchanting music.

Trials of Mana

In a time when the world was enveloped in darkness, the Goddess of Mana pulled forth the Sword of Mana to vanquish eight destructive creatures known as Benevodons. She imprisoned these monstrous horrors within the eight Mana Stones, thus averting the world’s doom. Exhausted from rebuilding the realm, the Goddess transformed herself into a tree and fell into a deep slumber for numerous years. Unfortunately, evil forces emerged with the intent of freeing the Benevodons to seize control over the world. They ignited a devastating war to further their plot and disrupt the peace among the kingdoms. The era of tranquility came to an end. Mana energy gradually vanished from the world, causing the Mana Tree to wilt…
