Deadpool & Wolverine Is Getting Its Own Line of Marvel Variant Covers

As a seasoned gamer and comic book enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the collaboration between Marvel Studios and Deadpool & Wolverine is nothing short of spectacular. Having grown up reading these characters’ adventures, seeing them brought to life in such an engaging and entertaining manner has been a true joy.

The exceptional artwork featuring Deadpool and Wolverine will grace the covers of popular Marvel comics soon. It’s clear that both characters have captured the hearts of many, making them one of the biggest theatrical hits in 2024. Watching these two heroes share the screen was a treat, and while much of the success can be credited to the acting talents of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, it’s important not to overlook the contributions made by those working behind the scenes. The designs for Deadpool, Wolverine, and even Cassandra Nova played a significant role in shaping the film’s atmosphere, and now these character designs will be highlighted on a collection of Marvel variant covers.

Marvel is adopting artworks related to the comic book pairing of Deadpool and Wolverine for a series of Marvel Studios Variant Covers. These pieces were created by Ryan Meinerding, Head of Visual Development at Marvel Studios, Andy Park, Director of Visual Development, Mayes C. Rubeo, Costume Designer, and Jonay Bacallado, Concept Artist. The artwork features initial designs for Wolverine, Deadpool, and Cassandra Nova from the film. These four covers will grace upcoming issues of Wolverine, Deadpool, X-Men, and the new Deadpool/Wolverine series debuting in January.

The covers feature Ryan Reynolds in his red-and-black Deadpool costume, Hugh Jackman donning Wolverine’s classic yellow-and-brown John Byrne costume and X-Men blue-and-yellow costume, and Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova.
