Star Wars Unlimited Reveals Two New Twilight of the Republic Cards (Exclusive)

As a die-hard Star Wars fan who has been collecting and battling with Star Wars Unlimited cards since its inception, I am beyond excited about the upcoming Twilight of the Republic set! The anticipation has been building for months, and finally, we have our first look at two powerful new cards: Nameless Valor and Now There Are Two of Them.

The much-awaited third installment from Star Wars Unlimited is titled “Twilight of the Republic,” while the Clone Wars-themed set is just around the corner. Though fans might have to endure a little more wait, we’ve got an exclusive sneak peek at two potent cards from the upcoming set! The new cards are the mid-rarity Nameless Valor and the high-value Legendary card, Now There Are Two of Them. Let’s delve into the specifics of how each will impact your future conflicts.

Nameless Valor

Green receives an Upgrade card named Nameless Valor, which enhances a token unit by increasing its attack and defense by two each. Furthermore, the attached unit acquires Overwhelm, enabling it to deal any remaining damage directly to the opponent’s base after an attack. At just 1 cost, this upgrade offers a substantial improvement, and the inclusion of Overwhelm is an added advantage.

Now There Are Two of Them

A new Trick card named “Now There Are Two of Them” enhances yellow cards, offering a discounted price when playing a non-vehicle unit from your hand if you have exactly one unit controlled. However, it should share the same Trait as the controlled unit. This 3-cost Legendary card assists in leveling the playing field.

A Welcome Addition

In the upcoming expansion, Twilight of the Republic, a new feature called Token Units will be introduced. These units function similarly to regular ones, but when they are defeated, they exit the game rather than returning to your hand or discard pile. Xander Tabler from Fantasy Flight Games has shared details about this exciting addition. The team is thrilled to incorporate Token Units into the game, and we’ve already announced Clone Trooper tokens and Battle Droid Tokens as part of the new set. Furthermore, players have been requesting Token Units since the beginning, and now in the second set, we are introducing Smuggle cards that allow you to play from resources, along with the inclusion of Token Units – another long-awaited feature that we’re fulfilling our promise to expand the game and deliver what feels natural for players.

The “Twilight of the Republic” is hitting shelves on November 8th, 2024. Are you eagerly awaiting its arrival? Share your thoughts about gaming and everything related to Star Wars Unlimited with me on Threads and Twitter @mattaguilarcb!
