Silent Hill 2 Remake is “Not the End of the Adventure with Konami,” Bloober Team CEO Says

As a longtime fan of the chilling Silent Hill series, this news has sent shivers down my spine and filled me with a sense of nostalgic excitement. The prospect of more collaborations between Konami and Bloober Team beyond the upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2 is truly terrifying… in the best possible way!

The imminent remake of Silent Hill 2 is generating growing excitement as its release date nears, and while it’s too early to tell if it will truly meet expectations, the collaboration between Konami and developer Bloober Team appears strong enough to suggest that this may not be the only remake we’ll witness.

Additionally, Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, has also indicated that they will carry on collaborating with Konami past the production of “Silent Hill 2”. He mentioned this during a recent interview with the Polish outlet Bankier.

“You can expect that this is not the end of the adventure with Konami,” he said.

It is uncertain whether this collaboration between Konami and Bloober Team will lead to additional future remakes of the Silent Hill series, a brand-new game in the series, or perhaps a project unrelated to Silent Hill. However, it appears that their partnership extends beyond just the upcoming remake.

Last year, during an interview with GamingBolt, when asked about the possibility of Bloober Team working on additional Silent Hill remakes, Silent Hill 2 producer Maciej Głomb responded, “It’s still uncertain, but personally, I believe it’s best not to rule anything out completely.

Towards the end of the year, Konami confirmed they are actively working on “reimaginings” or updated versions of Silent Hill. Learn more about this development here.

Silent Hill 2 launches on October 8 for PS5 and PC.
