Jared Harris on what went wrong with Morbius and taking role because he “has a mortgage to pay”

As a cinephile who has seen more flops than blockbusters, I can’t help but sympathize with Jared Harris and his honest confession about taking roles for financial reasons. We all have mortgages to pay, don’t we?

Two years have passed since Sony’s movie Morbius, a Spider-Man spin-off that received negative criticism from critics, was released. Now, one of the film’s actors, Jared Harris, shares his thoughts on why the film didn’t succeed as intended.

In an interview with i News, Harris explained that he accepted the movie role for financial reasons, stating: “I’ve got bills to pay, after all. At times, you agree to projects just to earn a living.

Harris pointed out an intriguing aspect about the movie: “At first glance, it seems like a suspense or thriller. However, upon closer look, the captivating element lies in how the parents respond to the situation. It’s about what they decide to accept as truth.
