What’s happening with Shiny Zacian in Pokémon Go? Situation explained

As a seasoned Pokemon Go player, reminiscing the days when I hunted Charizard’s shiny versions under the scorching sun, I must say that the latest addition to the roster, Shiny Zacian, has been quite the talk of the town. However, it seems that this new Legendary ‘Mon has had a rather rocky debut, with players encountering an unexpected glitch – Shiny Zacian appearing as regular Zacian!

Shiny Zacian in Pokémon Go has been causing issues for some players and not appearing as it should.

Introduced with the Legendary Heroes event, Zacian can now be Shiny in Pokémon Go, which is great!

It’s unfortunate that the unveiling of the new Shiny Legendary Pokémon was marred by an annoying glitch, which didn’t sit too well with the online community.

To start off, let’s clarify some background information – we’ll discuss not only the events leading up to this point, but also the methods for acquiring Zacian in Raid Battles and its vulnerabilities.

Here’s everything you need to know about Shiny Zacian in Pokémon Go.

What’s happening with Shiny Zacian in Pokémon Go? Situation explained

Fans of Pokémon Go expressed their displeasure promptly on the internet, as they found Shiny Zacian being displayed as a regular Zacian instead.

I encountered an unusual situation where the Shiny variant of the Legendary ‘Mon appeared, complete with its shimmering animation, yet it retained Zacian’s regular color scheme instead of the usual Shiny hue, as if a glitch had momentarily intertwined their appearances.

The issue did not impact the rate at which Zacian would appear as a Shiny variant, nor any other Shiny-related attributes. Instead, its visual representation of the character itself was malfunctioning.

Luckily, the problem seems to have been resolved, and your Shiny Zacian will now show up in its unique, distinct color pattern instead of resembling the original Zacian’s colors.

The Niantic Support team, previously recognized on Twitter, has verified this information through their official account. Here’s the related post you can review: [Post Link]

Trainers, we’ve resolved the visual problem that was impacting Shiny Zacian in Pokémon GO. Any Pokémon affected by this issue will be updated self-automatically. #PokemonGO

As a passionate player, I’d love for Niantic to ensure that my Shiny Zacian, if ever bugged, gets fixed automatically. If it doesn’t, a simple solution could be to exit and re-enter the game.

When is Zacian in Pokémon Go? Raid Battle dates and times

During the Legendary Heroes event for Pokémon Go, you can encounter Zacian in a 5-Star Raid Battle. The event concludes on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at 8 pm local time.

Starting from September 26th, Zacian 5-Star Raid Battles will occur up until 8 pm on October 1st (inclusive).

I’m eagerly awaiting the return of Zacian, and it’s uncertain when that might happen. If catching this legendary Pokémon is on your wish list, I strongly recommend jumping into a Raid Battle right away!

A battle against Zacian will prove difficult, mind, so it’s best to know what its weaknesses are. More on that below.

What is Zacian’s weakness in Pokémon Go?

Zacian is a Fairy-type Pokémon, which means it is weak against Poison and Steel-type attacks.

Bring your best Poison and Steel-type attackers to the Raid Battle and you’ll stand a better chance at defeating Zacian.

When dealing with Fairy-type Pokémon, it’s most effective to avoid using Pokémon that are Dragon, Bug, Dark or Fighting types in battle since they are resistant to their attacks.

In a simplified manner, remember not to bring Fairy-type Pokémon when fighting against Pokémon that are either Fighting, Dark or Dragon, as they will struggle against these types.

With all of that in mind, the best Zacian counters in Pokémon Go will be Gengar, Overqwil, Venusaur, Drapion, Crobat, Melmetal, Excadrill, Metagross, Magnezone, Empoleon, Bisharp, or any other strong Poison and Steel-type Pokémon you own.

There seems to be an issue with the quiz, please try again.
