As a long-time admirer of resilience and determination, I must say I was thoroughly impressed by Nick Knowles’ performance tonight on Strictly Come Dancing. The man not only danced with grace and style but also demonstrated an indomitable spirit that is truly inspiring.
Tonight, TV host Nick Knowles managed to deliver another impressive dance performance on Strictly Come Dancing, even after he sustained an injury a few days prior.
Nick Knowles, co-starring with dance pro Luba Mushtuk in the ongoing show, suffered an injury to his arm and shoulder while changing a tire early the day after the initial live performance. This incident has raised questions about his participation in Strictly Come Dancing, but on Friday he announced that he had received medical approval.
Tonight’s live show saw Knowles performing an American Smooth dance choreographed to the tune of Blur’s ‘Parklife’, and the audience at home were thoroughly captivated by his act.
Undoubtedly, Nick has my utmost admiration. Despite having minimal training, a challenging song selection, an injury, and all the obstacles that came along, he gave it his best shot. The judging panel also found the performance impressive, giving the duo a total score of 21 points.
After the show, Craig Revel Horwood spoke with Nick Knowles and said, “There were parts that felt a bit slow, but listen to me, Nick. You’ve got promise, and tonight, we could definitely see it shining through.
In agreement with Craig’s assessment, I see definite potential in you, and your movements flowed effortlessly. If not for being informed otherwise, I wouldn’t have suspected any issue with your arm.
In the meantime, lead judge Shirley remarked: “I hope everyone at home recognizes that you managed to put this together in just 16 hours. You executed it flawlessly. I won’t critique your footwork as I believe that would be somewhat unfair. What you accomplished within those 16 hours is simply astounding.
Anton Du Beke complimented Knowles, saying, “In truth, your footwork was quite commendable. Your dance posture seemed solid as well. I can only imagine that partnering with you would be a delight.
He continued: “You seem to make a lovely partner. You’ve got a nice sympathetic hold. Your lifts seem good and secure. You move across the floor well. I would say in your language, ‘this house has been built on very good foundations’.”
