Naruto Cliffhanger Brings Back Shinki in the Worst Possible Way

As a longtime fan of the Naruto universe, I must say that the latest chapter of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has left me both intrigued and saddened. The introduction of Gaara’s son Shinki as a captured victim within the Ten Tails trees is certainly not what fans had hoped for, but it adds a new layer of complexity to the ongoing battle against these powerful beings.

In the sequel series of “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex,” characters have been gradually making their reappearance post-three year time skip. The latest installment saw the return of Gaara’s son, Shinki, although not quite in the manner fans might have anticipated. The storyline has grown increasingly intense as Boruto and the Hidden Leaf Village confront the Ten Tails invaders. However, even with the conclusion of these battles, Boruto remains a wanted individual within the village, enemy number one. This situation may be changing soon though.

The anime series “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex” is currently grappling with the aftermath of the battles against the Ten Tails creatures, and it has become evident that each of these beings possesses powers that continue to challenge the shinobi. These beings draw their power from individuals trapped within their Ten Tails trees, and the latest revelation in the newest chapter is that Shinki, Gaara’s son, who hasn’t appeared in action for a while, has sadly fallen victim to this.

What Happens in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 14?

In Chapter 14 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the story continues following the devastation caused by the Ten Tails’ assault on the village. Now considered an adversary, Boruto is detained within confinement. The villagers aim to extract as much intel about these latest antagonists through him, and he verifies their suspicions that the Divine Tree individuals are derived from the powers of those they have mimicked. Interestingly, each of them appears to have a specific target they wish to consume personally. Amado hypothesizes this is because they have acquired knowledge, and consequently, seek more of it.

Additionally, it’s made clear that their leader, Jura, isn’t like the rest because he appears to have originated from the Ten Tails. It’s believed only defeating Jura can bring an end to this situation, but the village members are hesitant to accept this and prefer to eliminate him instead. However, before things reach a climax, Boruto manages to flee, making matters even more complicated. Later, Shikamaru receives word from Kankuro about another attack – this time on the Sunagakure, or Hidden Sand Village, by the Divine Tree fighters.

What Happened to Shinki?

Kankuro informs Shikamaru that Gaara and Shinki have been subdued in a recent attack. Although both are still alive, Shinki has been trapped within a tree. Kankuro is planning to provide more details later, but he urgently needs assistance from the Hidden Leaf as soon as possible. As events unfold, it’s discovered that another Divine Tree combatant has emerged, this time a new character named Ryu. Since these fighters resemble the individuals they are mimicking, it’s apparent that Ryu is draining Shinki of her power.

Ryu, the Divine Tree warrior, was the figure hinted at by one of the potential futures Kashin Koji had foreseen when discussing his abilities with Boruto. It now appears that this future has become a reality. However, with another Divine Tree fighter emerging, intent on destroying the Hidden Sand Village, it’s increasingly evident that the entire shinobi world is at risk from this growing force, which seems to be gaining strength in each new chapter.
