Emmerdale’s Ross Barton ‘back with a bang’, teases Natalie J Robb

As a long-time aficionado of Emmerdale, with its rich tapestry of characters and dramatic twists that often leave me gripping the armrests of my worn-out sofa, I must say I’m thrilled at the return of Ross Barton (played by Michael Parr). It’s been six years since we last saw him, and with little information about his comeback, one can only imagine the explosive scenes that lie ahead.

A significant change is on its way in Emmerdale, as Ross Barton, portrayed by Michael Parr, is coming back.

The character has been absent for a span of six years, and though specifics about his comeback are scant, audiences can anticipate an exciting, possibly dramatic event.

One person who it will be interesting to see him reunite with is Moira (Natalie J Robb).

Spectators are likely to recall that Moira was the one who murdered Ross’ mother, Emma (Gillian Kearney). As a result, it is clear that they have a deep-seated animosity towards each other.

In an exclusive interview with The Big RT, set to air on Monday, the 30th of September, she teased that the conversation will undeniably be packed with intrigue and excitement.

Robb hinted mysteriously, ‘There’s not much I can share… But rest assured, he’ll make quite an entrance and stir up a good deal of chaos, just like he’s known to do!

On a personal note, I’ve maintained contact with him after he departed, reaching out approximately every two months. I’m overjoyed by his return and his readiness to do so. It’s wonderful to have familiar friends rejoin us, contributing to the sense of continuity.

Tomorrow, you’ll have the opportunity to delve into an extensive conversation with Robb, as she discusses Moira’s current situation following her brain tumor diagnosis, as well as reflecting upon her remarkable television journey.

Emmerdale airs Monday to Friday at 7:30pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
