It's Your Last Chance to Stream The Super Mario Bros. Movie on Netflix

As a longtime fan who has followed Mario’s adventures since the 8-bit era, I must say that the recent cinematic adaptation of my beloved Super Mario Bros. was nothing short of magical! Watching it on Netflix for the past few months has been a delightful journey, one I wouldn’t want to miss for the world.

In 2023, The Super Mario Bros. Movie ruled the box office and made a significant impact on streaming platforms for most of 2024. This Illumination production was added to Netflix’s streaming library in December and has been a top-performing title since then. However, after spending several months on the service and an impressive 20 weeks on the global Netflix Top 10 list, unfortunately, The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be leaving Netflix in the near future.

In a recent update, Netflix announced that “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” will no longer be available for streaming starting October 2nd. Therefore, if you wish to catch this movie on Netflix, you should do so within the next few days as it will mark your final opportunity to watch it on their platform.

Regrettably, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” and “Sonic the Hedgehog” are among several major films that will be leaving Netflix in October, with “Sonic the Hedgehog,” a popular title on Netflix Top 10 Movies list in the U.S., being removed on October 31st. For a complete list of movies departing from Netflix in October, please visit their official website.

Great to hear! It looks like there’s no shortage of familiar favorites for family game nights on Netflix. I see they still have ‘Migration’, another awesome Illumination production, plus ‘Trolls Band Together’ and ‘The Garfield Movie’. Looking forward to some quality bonding time!

Where Is The Super Mario Bros. Movie Streaming Next?

To date, no specific streaming platform has been revealed for “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, but it seems likely that this could change soon, given that streaming services are starting to share their upcoming October announcements.

After leaving Netflix, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” is expected to move to either Peacock or Amazon Prime Video. Peacock is NBCUniversal’s streaming platform, and it secured the first streaming rights for “Mario” once it stopped playing in theaters. Additionally, Universal has a deal with Amazon Prime Video, making it likely that many of its films will eventually be available for streaming on that service as well.

As a gaming enthusiast, I know the struggle of keeping up with streaming locations for movies like “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” in the upcoming months. But here’s a pro tip: If you really want to own a movie, consider buying the DVD or Blu-ray version instead. That way, you won’t have to stress about its availability ever again.
