Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Release Date Announcement Coming Next Year, Says Kojima

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and patience when it comes to Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Having played and been captivated by the original Death Stranding, I’ve come to expect nothing less than a masterpiece from the visionary mind of Hideo Kojima.

At the Tokyo Game Show this year, Kojima Productions unveiled various details about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, including the addition of a Photo Mode feature, fresh glimpses into new scenes, and tantalizing character revelations. Yet, they have yet to confirm the game’s official release date.

Despite the planned release in 2025, the developer has not specified an exact date yet. In a recent tweet by Director Hideo Kojima, he mentioned that the release date is set and the team is working towards it. However, he emphasized the 2025 launch window and hinted at a formal announcement of the release date sometime next year. Regarding why the announcement couldn’t be made during the Special Stage at TGS, Kojima explained it was due to some unexpected circumstances.

The sequel to “Death Stranding,” titled “Death Stranding 2: On the Beach,” is set to debut on PlayStation 5 at its launch. Although the game isn’t fully completed, filming and recording were wrapped up in May, and it’s now in the fine-tuning stage. Keep an eye out for further developments, and don’t forget to catch more gameplay footage from earlier this year.

Kojima confirms Death Stranding 2’s release date will be announced in 2025.

The official launch date has been set for the year 2025, however, we are unable to disclose it at this time due to unexpected events. #DeathStranding2 #TGS2024AttendeesWillFindOutMore
