Initially, Final Fantasy XVI was exclusively available on PlayStation 5 in 2023 and later moved to PC this year. There have been whispers about an Xbox release for quite some time now, along with speculation surrounding other games like Final Fantasy VII Remake. However, a source named eXtas1s claims there has been no active development on the Xbox version of the remake, which aligns with previous statements from reporter Jez Corden on The Xbox Two podcast. He hinted that an Xbox port may eventually occur but mentioned that they are deliberating over the best method to execute it since Final Fantasy VII Remake is part of an ongoing trilogy and its port could affect the series as a whole.
