As a devoted fan of Hideo Kojima and his groundbreaking works, I must say that the recent revelations about Death Stranding 2: On the Beach have me absolutely thrilled! The Japanese voice cast announcements, featuring familiar voices like Kenjiro Tsuda as Sam, Nana Mizuki as Fragile, and Satoshi Mikami as Higgs, alongside exciting new additions such as Tomokazu Sugita as Dollman and Shion Wakayama as Tomorrow, have sent shivers of excitement down my spine.
In the latest extended presentation at Tokyo Game Show for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, a wealth of fresh information was shared, including new gameplay footage, an intriguingly quirky photo mode, and even a dance event within the game. To add to that, Kojima Productions has disclosed details about the Japanese voice actors who will be lending their talents to the game.
In the upcoming game, several actors will reprise their characters from the original. Notably, Kenjiro Tsuda will voice Sam Porter Bridges, a role previously played by Norman Reedus in the English version. Similarly, Nana Mizuki takes on the character of Fragile, who was voiced by Lea Seydoux, and Satoshi Mikami voices Higgs, a part Troy Baker performed in the English version.
In addition to Tomokazu Sugita playing Dollman, there will be new cast members joining the team: Mitsuru Miyamoto taking over Tarman’s role, inspired by George Miller; and Shion Wakayama portraying Tomorrow, a character originally played by Elle Fanning in English.
Absolutely, given that Hideo Kojima has mentioned in the past that Death Stranding 2 will likely feature a larger cast, it’s reasonable to anticipate more actor announcements over the next few weeks and months.
