PS5 Pro “Absolutely Rocks,” No Man’s Sky Engine Programmer Says

As a gamer with over two decades of gaming experience, I can say that I’ve seen my fair share of console generations and their respective upgrades. However, the PS5 Pro has managed to leave me utterly spellbound, much like the breathtaking vistas of No Man’s Sky, which I’ve spent countless hours exploring as an Engine Programmer at Hello Games.

Ever since the reveal of the PS5 Pro this month, it’s faced a significant amount of criticism due to its high price tag, with many doubting if the upgrade it offers over the standard PS5 justifies that cost. However, there are also those who are eagerly anticipating its features.

One team member is Martin Griffiths from Hello Games, who serves as the studio’s Engine Programmer for No Man’s Sky – one of several games confirmed to have PS5 Pro Enhancements at its launch in November. On Twitter, Griffiths expressed his thoughts about the console, stating that it “really kicks some serious goals.

It appears that ‘No Man’s Sky’ has been tagged as a PS5 Pro Enhanced game on the PlayStation Store. As someone who has worked on the engine for all PlayStation versions from the original PS1, I can confidently say that this console truly excels.

As an eager fan, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated PS5 Pro is scheduled for release on November 7! With its debut, we fans can look forward to around 40-50 games that have been enhanced specifically for the PS5 Pro console.

Here’s a visually appealing snapshot, capturing my mood tonight quite accurately. You may have noticed that the PlayStation store now lists #NoMansSky as a game optimized for the #PS5Pro – just a quick comment from an engine programmer who has been part of the journey on all PlayStation versions…
