Sabrina Carpenter Jokes Over Role in Eric Adams’ Federal Investigation

As a die-hard Sabrina Carpenter fan with a penchant for uncovering intriguing connections, it’s fascinating to see how her life and art seem to intertwine so mysteriously with New York City politics! The irony of her joking about potentially indicting the mayor is just too amusing not to ponder over.

It’s funny and it’s ironic that Sabrina Carpenter could have any involvement in this case.

The “Please Please Please” singer recently made a humorous comment suggesting that the controversy surrounding her “Feather” music video might have played a role in the indictment of New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

At her concert held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on September 29th, she momentarily halted and posed a question to the audience: “Shall we discuss how I managed to have the mayor indicted, or…”?

The indictment, made public by NBC News, claims that Adams was accused of a bribery and wire fraud scheme lasting approximately ten years. Prosecutors assert that during this time, Adams requested and received extravagant international travel and illegal contributions for his 2021 mayoral campaign in violation of the law.

In simpler terms, the carpenter’s latest statement implies that the controversy over her “Feather” music video may have played a role in the events leading up to Adams being charged and indicted.

The controversial 2023 music video of the “Taste” singer, who filmed suggestive scenes within Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, sparked outrage among influential figures in the Catholic Church when it was made public.

After giving approval for the video to be shot in space, Monsignor Jamie J. Gigantiello admitted he was unaware of the video’s inappropriate content, leading to his demotion and removal of administrative duties by Bishop Robert Brennan. He confirmed this through an email to the New York Times.

The priest’s downgrade, triggering a more extensive administrative examination across the parish, as shared by the diocese with the New York Post, potentially links the parish to Adams. It appears that federal investigators summoned Gigantiello’s parish on September 20 due to their business transactions with Frank Carone, who used to be Adams’ top aide, according to sources privy to the situation, as reported by NBC New York.

Regarding the reported probe, a representative from the Brooklyn diocese that governs the Williamsburg Parish stated to NBC New York that they are completely dedicated to working hand-in-hand with law enforcement during all investigations, whether they concern actions at particular parishes or involve any clergy members.

As for me, I’m clueless about any probe linked to my name, Carone asserted. On the other hand, Gigantiello kept mum when approached by NBC New York.

2023 saw Carpenter ensuring a secure setting for her music video within the church, with herself and her team meticulously implementing necessary safety measures.

She informed Variety ahead that we had the necessary prior approval regarding the music video dispute, and with a touch of wit, she appended, “Remember, Jesus was a craftsman.
