In a heartfelt message posted after her birthday, Billie Piper thanked Doctor Who enthusiasts for their support as she celebrated turning 42 years old.
Sharing a sequence of photos on Instagram, the ex-Doctor Who companion expressed: “Celebrated turning 42 today. Thank you for the sweet messages everyone! Not forgetting to mention, I’m incredibly thankful for my children, our house, and my sisters.
She went on listing various things and later wrote: “Dr Who fans.”
Absolutely, Piper is most recognized by Doctor Who fans as the ex-companion Rose Tyler, but she’s also appeared lately on TV shows such as Scoop, KAOS, and will soon be seen in the second upcoming season of Wednesday.
During her tenure on Doctor Who, Piper appeared as a series mainstay from 2005 to 2006, and later made appearances in the final three episodes of season 4 and special editions in both 2010 and 2013.
Lately, the tradition of Rose Tyler was carried forward with the debut of a new character named Rose Noble, portrayed by Yasmin Finney from Heartstopper. This new character is the daughter of Donna Noble (played by Catherine Tate), and she made her appearance in Doctor Who’s first special episode for its 60th anniversary, titled “The Star Beast.
