Anna Delvey Claims DWTS Was Exploitative and “Predatory”

Anna Delvey Claims DWTS Was Exploitative and "Predatory"

As I peruse through this delightful assortment of stars gracing the dance floor, it’s truly captivating to witness such a diverse array of backgrounds and talents coming together for one common goal – the Mirrorball Trophy!

Anna Delvey wasn’t going to dance through the pain.

Directly and candidly, the false heiress openly expressed her feelings about the disappointing encounter she had with Dancing With the Stars, following her dismissal in the initial round of eliminations.

As a loyal participant, I believe the show manipulated me for higher viewership without providing any opportunities for growth beyond ratings. They seemed more interested in capitalizing on my persona for attention rather than fostering genuine development. It was underhanded of them to make me feel insufficient and foolish, all while I consistently improved, but they chose to overlook my progress.

topMob News contacted ABC seeking their reaction to Anna’s recent remarks, but we haven’t received a reply as of now.

As a devoted follower myself, I must say that this isn’t my first occasion to express my honest feelings about a situation similar to what Anna experienced during the September 24th episode. Accompanied by Tori Spelling and their respective professional partners, Ezra Sosa and Pasha Pashkov, Anna was eliminated from the series. Interestingly enough, Anna has been vocal about her candid perspectives on this brief chapter of her life in the show, which includes a recent defense of a viral comment she made, stating that she gained “nothing” from her time on the series.

She stated this during the September 28th episode of her podcast, ‘MisSPELLING’, addressing the producers of ‘DWTS’. ‘You told me what to do,’ she said, ‘I gave it my best shot, but I was still turned down. This is what I’ve learned: your guidance was not helpful.’

After facing criticism due to her past convictions for grand larceny and stealing services, Anna felt that being part of the show didn’t justify the trouble following her early exit.

She remarked, “They seemed to invest a great deal of energy in attempting to get me on the show, making me feel at ease, only to eliminate me early. To be honest, it was a little disappointing. It felt like an unnecessary waste of my time and effort, given that they so quickly discarded me.

At the same time, Tori mentioned on her podcast that she found it unexpected to be eliminated so quickly. Interestingly, her estranged spouse, Dean McDermott, shared similar feelings.

In a September 26th Instagram video, Dean expressed, “Initially, I believed Dancing With the Stars was a genuine dance competition rather than a popularity contest, but it seems I was mistaken once again. You performed exceptionally well and deservedly so; I think you should remain on the show. However, being biased towards you, I might be wrong. Regardless, I am incredibly proud of you. Keep dominating and showing your awesomeness, Tori!

Despite Tori and Anna leaving the dance floor, continue reading to discover who’s still in contention for this season’s Mirrorball trophy.
