As a die-hard fan of Jujutsu Kaisen who’s lived and breathed every chapter since its inception, I must say the final chapter left me with a mix of emotions. On one hand, it was a heartwarming conclusion to Yuji’s journey that brought tears to my eyes, but on the other, it left me with more questions than answers!

As a hardcore gamer, I just finished my epic journey through the magical world of Jujutsu Kaisen! The final chapter has dropped and it feels like the end of an era. This week, the mastermind Gege Akutami breathed life into chapter 271, wrapping up Yuji’s incredible adventure. From day one, this supernatural series took me along on a ride as our hero, Yuji, navigated a world that was beyond anything I could have imagined.

If you’re familiar with Jujutsu Kaisen, then you’d realize how the manga concluded for its readers. In chapter 271, we find Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi embarking on a mission as they often do. Given that curses are now commonplace, Team Gojo’s actions in this chapter are a testament to their late teacher’s legacy. The narrative unfolds from there, leading up to the climax of chapter 271. This chapter features a flashback involving Gojo and sets the stage for significant revelations, as well as leaving some intriguing questions unanswered.

After learning that Jujutsu Kaisen was coming to an end, I, along with many other fans, couldn’t help but start brainstorming a list of questions we felt desperately needed answers. While the manga’s epilogue did address some of these topics, like Choso’s fate and the aftermath of the Culling Game, there were still several unresolved mysteries that left us hanging. Here are some of the most pressing issues that I believe the creators should consider addressing in future installments:

  • Yuji Domain Expansion: In his fight with Sukuna, Yuji brought out a domain of his own, but we don’t have a name for it. To be frank, we are not sure of its sure-hit effect though many assume it is cleave. Whether an actual domain or a simple domain, we don’t know what technique Yuji has at his disposal these days.
  • Gojo and Geto Afterlife: During the Shinjuku Showdown arc, Gojo was killed, and the manga has doubled down on the death sticking. We were teased with a look at the afterlife or perhaps purgatory as Gojo reunited with Geto, Nanami, and others in an airport. The emotional scene suggested Gojo may return to life, but little discussion came from this aside. The afterlife might have been made vague on purpose, but even so, the questions left behind by Gojo and Geto’s reunion in death are valid.
  • Kenjaku’s Return: So Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 270 features Kenjaku, right? After we learn that Takaba is alive, a figure is shown with the sorcerer that looks just like Geto. From the hair to their physique, the body is all Geto, but their face is obscured. Jujutsu Kaisen fans have big questions about Kenjaku returning to Geto’s body and we cannot blame them.
  • The Great Merge & Kenjaku: Jujutsu Kaisen has a lot of villains, and Kenjaku is one of its most impressive bad guys. The sorcerer has been around for ages, and their plan to evolve mankind was nothing short of terrifying. From their ties to the U.S. government to the Great Merger, Kenjaku’s deal was shortchanged in the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, and fans still have questions about its fallout.
  • Sukuna’s Heian Origin: If there is one thing Jujutsu Kaisen fans wanted from the manga, it was a Heian era arc. The period was called the Golden Age of Jujutsu, and it brought characters like Sukuna center stage. We were given teasers about the Heian era throughout Jujutsu Kaisen, but plenty of big questions remain about its main players.

Is There More to Come for Jujutsu Kaisen?

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel that Jujutsu Kaisen left some major plot threads unresolved in its conclusion. While the manga provided a satisfying end for Yuji, it didn’t quite tie up all the loose ends from the broader storyline. We were treated to some heartwarming moments with Team Gojo, and the circular nature of the ending certainly sparked plenty of discussions among fans. However, when considering Jujutsu Kaisen as a complete narrative, the finale falls short in my opinion.

As a die-hard fan of Jujutsu Kaisen, I can’t help but ponder if our favorite manga will carry on with new chapters. Regrettably, no clear information has been shared about a potential sequel or spin-offs yet. For now, Akutami needs time to rest after wrapping up the masterpiece that is Jujutsu Kaisen. Yet, there seems to be a glimmer of hope that one day in the future, we’ll see another chapter unfold through that open door for the series to return.
