As I delve into the captivating world of Selena Gomez, it is impossible not to be awestruck by her journey. The young woman has navigated through the treacherous waters of fame and fortune with poise and grace that belies her years.
Selena Gomez would simply tell her younger self to slow down.
The 32-year-old shared her advice to that little girl just starting out in the entertainment industry while celebrating the release of her new critically acclaimed film, Emilia Pérez.
Gomez shared with TopMob News during the New York Film Festival on September 30th that he’d advise her to relax because things will turn out okay in the end. He added that being in this industry for such a long time can be quite overwhelming. (Stay tuned to TopMob News tonight, October 1st at 11 p.m., for more with Selena.)
Beginning at the tender age of 10, Gomez made her debut on the popular show Barney & Friends. Over time, she grew to be a widely recognized figure due to her roles on the Disney Channel and later as a successful pop artist. Her catchy tunes such as “Can’t Keep My Hands to Myself” and “The Heart Wants What It Wants” helped establish her as a chart-topping star.
Currently, the actor from “Only Murders in the Building,” who is known for openly discussing her mental health, expresses satisfaction. She expresses this by stating, “I’m truly thankful to be in a much more balanced state.
One achievement she’s commemorating is her part in the new musical crime comedy, “Emilia Pérez,” co-starring Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofía Gascón. This production has already garnered attention as a potential award contender. In fact, at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, Gomez and the other female leads were honored with the Best Actress Award.
Gomez confessed to TopMob News that he’s unsure if the Oscar buzz is genuine. He’s trembling even while speaking about it. ‘I feel grateful,’ he said. ‘This film seems to touch on many aspects. It’s enjoyable, it’s emotional, and it focuses on four women and their journey. To be included in that category is an honor.’
And while she noted that the project has inspired her musically, Gomez added, “I’m not sure when I’m gonna get back in the lab, if you will. But I am enjoying the acting side.”
