The announcement that Scream 7 is set to terrify us all in 2026 has sent shivers down my spine and made me question the sanity of hanging up on Ghostface one too many times.
In a surprising turn of events, Ghostface’s famous line echoes as Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures unveil that Scream 7 will hit theaters on February 27th, 2026. This announcement comes almost three years after the release of Scream VI in 2023. Neve Campbell, who played Sidney Prescott, the final girl in the first five Scream films, posted a date announcement on Instagram with the caption “It’s gonna be a killer 2026.” Despite her absence in the New York-set Scream 6, Campbell is set to return for the upcoming film directed by franchise creator and writer Kevin Williamson.
