As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the announcement of Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone has sent a wave of excitement through the gaming community. Having played and been captivated by the original, I’m eager to delve back into the hauntingly beautiful landscapes of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, now with promised improvements.
Despite its shortcomings, Chernobylite showed great promise as a game, and the idea of a sequel that aims to capitalize on this potential and introduce improvements is undeniably enticing. Not long after its unveiling, developer The Farm 51 has given us a sneak peek at the forthcoming Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone with a fresh gameplay trailer to demonstrate their plans for improvement.
One of the biggest draws of the game is, of course, going to be its titular setting, and that is very much on full display in this trailer, with a number of different creepy environments and bizarre environmental oddities shown off. The trailer also offers glimpses of a handful of characters, as well as several twisted monstrosities that players will be taking on in combat- including one of the game’s boss fights. Check out the trailer below for more details.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is due out sometime in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
