As a die-hard fan of the DC Universe, I must say that the cast for Joker: Folie à Deux is nothing short of exceptional! Formazie Beetz, known for her dynamic roles in Atlanta and Deadpool 2, brings a unique energy to the table. Her character, Van, has been a favorite among fans, and I’m excited to see how she’ll fit into this gritty Gotham City narrative.
Five years have elapsed, yet Joaquin Phoenix resumes his Academy Award-winning character – stepping once more into the shoes of Arthur Fleck for the upcoming sequel, Joker: Madness Duet.
The latest movie isn’t receiving as many positive reviews as its predecessor overall, but our own assessment awarded it 4 stars, describing it as a “grim story that strives to redefine the comic book film genre.” We also commended the acting abilities of both Phoenix and Lady Gaga, who portrays Lee Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn, in this production.
People have been talking about the unique aspect of its arrival before the premiere, and also about how this movie deviates from the original by transforming into a musical-themed production, complete with popular tunes woven into the storyline.
