As someone who’s spent countless hours in the mystical world of this game, I can confidently say that mastering the art of life skills is no less important than honing your combat abilities. And let me tell you, my friend, I’ve seen players overlook these skills to their detriment!
It’s likely you’ve noticed that the game Throne & Liberty includes a special currency called Lucent, which needs real-world money to acquire. Yet, here’s an interesting fact: it is possible to earn this premium currency without spending a single cent! Of course, this method depends on others parting with their own money, but it’s certainly an option for earning it. Here are some suggestions on how you can do this!
Beginner’s Life Skills Guide for Making Lucent
It’s important to mention at the outset: To enter the auction house, you need to have reached level 40. If your character hasn’t advanced that far yet, you’ll need to increase your level before you can begin listing items for sale and earning Lucent.
In this walkthrough, we’ll be honing in on essential life skills that are integral to the game. At present, there are only three of these skills: Cooking, Fishing, and Expedition-making.
Cooking & Fishing
Not only are cooking and fishing closely related activities, but engaging in one often leads to the other. In the beginning stages of your journey, you’ll receive a complimentary fishing rod from Adventurer Pro Percy, who can be found at Kastleton.
To obtain bait for an affordable price, consider reaching out to a Bait Supplier (equivalent to Contact Coin Merchant) in most significant towns. With these fundamental supplies on hand, you can kick off your fishing adventure at the harbor of Kastleton, where you’ll find some simple catches.
As a passionate angler in this virtual world, I’ve discovered that lower-tier fishing spots are ideal for reeling in smaller catches. However, as my Fishing abilities grow and I acquire better equipment or bait over time, I find myself able to snag rarer and more lucrative ingredients, not to mention the occasional treasure sacks. It’s essential to remember that fish aren’t the only protein sources in this game; they’re merely one part of a diverse culinary adventure!
ASIDE: A bit further down the line, around your mid twenties, Adventurer Pro Percy might provide you with additional tasks from the Adventure Codex to help you master fishing and cooking. However, don’t wait for that! You can start learning these skills right away, as shown here.
Quick Brief on Cooking
In contrast, cooking merely involves locating a suitable place such as a Kitchen or Outdoor Grill, which can be found across the game’s environment. You can usually discover one in any significant town. Simply consult your map for convenience, as the symbols representing these locations are easily distinguishable, particularly with the help of filters!
After reaching any of these locations, you’ll find a collection of various recipes you can attempt to prepare. However, many of these will be inaccessible based on your current skill level; for instance, several fish-based recipes demand at least a level 3 proficiency in the life skill.
There really isn’t anything to note here. Just make sure that you have all of the required ingredients and start cooking! Start off with the simplest stuff, which will only require you to kill some low level enemies and buy cheap items from a Sundries merchant.
If you’re not sure where to get a certain ingredient, simply click on its corresponding icon, then search for the “Acquisition” button. This will display all the possible locations or vendors who may have that specific ingredient in stock!
This functionality aids in locating particular items of equipment too, though it’s not covered in this manual. However, do remember that you can also offload equipment (along with other items) to Lucent.
Cooking can be extremely profitable in the early days of the game, so make sure to take advantage of that and start leveling it up as soon as possible while everybody else focuses on purely combat-related activities!
Sending Out Expeditions
Finally, the last life skill that isn’t something you can actively train is Expedition. Leveling this up is as simple as going to your Amitoi house and starting expeditions at the Amitoi Expedition Map that will be right beside you as you teleport in.
From here, all you need to do is select a region and then the desired number of Amitoi (as many as you can) before starting the expedition. You can choose how many hours you want it to last, and to get your rewards, just go back to this map and claim them once they are back!
Initially, only a handful of areas will be accessible to you. The potential prizes are displayed in the lower right corner of the menu, which could prove beneficial when it comes to cooking as you might find many useful ingredients there!
Example: Windhill Shores might provide you with some salt. The complimentary Vagabond Percy, which comes with the codex, is particularly useful in this area since he receives a small bonus reward from it!
Auction House Selling
Here’s one way to rephrase the text: These suggestions serve as a foundation for mastering various life skills, and if you aim to generate income from them, it’s crucial to devote your primary efforts towards cooking. The dishes you prepare usually fetch a modest price at the Auction House, yet over time, these small amounts can accumulate significantly as you invest a considerable amount of resources in the process.
Essentially, continue enhancing them as much as possible, while also engaging in other pursuits. However, it’s crucial to remember not to overlook developing your essential life skills during these initial stages of the game.
