As a gaming enthusiast with a passion for Souls-like experiences, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! If you’re eagerly awaiting a fresh challenge, here’s your chance – sign-ups are now live for the closed beta test of Nexon’s latest offering, “The First Berserker: Khazan”. The action RPG has also just dropped an enticing new gameplay trailer that showcases the boss character, Viper, losing it (pun not intended) when witnessing Khazan’s trail of devastation.
The narrative revolves around Khazan, a valiant general who once rescued the Pell Los Empire, but now lives in disgrace and banishment. Once taken over by the Ghostly Sword Spirit, he embarks on a crusade for retribution, engaging enemies that range from soldiers to beasts and monstrous foes. Despite its gameplay bearing resemblance to the Souls series, it allows you to counterattack like in ‘Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’ and shatter unavoidable attacks akin to ‘Nioh 2’.
The closed beta will take place between October 11th and October 20th, exclusively on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 consoles. During this period, you’ll have access to the game’s first three chapters: Heinmach, Stormpass, and Embars. Additionally, you can try out three distinct weapon types, develop skills specific to each character, unlock various gear items, and much more.
