As a seasoned movie critic with over four decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the drama unfolding on this week’s Strictly Come Dancing is as captivating as any blockbuster film. The passionate outburst from Robert Fripp, Toyah Willcox’s husband, was reminiscent of a classic Hollywood scene where the leading man defends his lady love with unbridled passion.
Toyah Willcox’s spouse showed clear displeasure with the judge’s remarks during this week’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing, evident by his vocal disapproval and boos from the audience when they announced their decision.
During the live performance of ‘Movie Week’, Guitarist Robert Fripp – who has been married to Willcox since 1986 – encountered a disagreement with Craig Revel Horwood, as he shared his critique on Willcox’s Samba, which was based on characters from The Little Mermaid’s song ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls’.
Horwood commented that everything seemed rather bogged down, but his words were overshadowed by a loud boo coming from within the studio, which grew louder than the rest. As the camera shifted, it revealed Fripp standing up and shouting “boo” at the judge.
Horwood instructed him to take a seat and maintain his composure, as Tess Daly unveiled that the individual was actually Willcox’s spouse.
In the midst of their laughter, Horwood added, “However, let me tell you, your positive spirit and captivating personality truly made that dance exceptional.
Following the sharing of opinions by all judges, it was now time to view the scores they had given for the week. Willcox and dance professional Neil Jones ended up with a total of 15 points, as Craig gave them a three, while the other judges each awarded them fours.
Over the last couple of weeks, this duo has been struggling, with scores of 18 and 12 points in their respective matches.
Over the past weekend, I found myself squaring off in a nerve-wracking dance-off with Tom Dean and Nadiya Bychkova. In the end, it was my luck that the judges chose to spare Willcox from elimination.
