As a seasoned Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book history under my belt, I must say, the latest twist in Agatha All Along has me utterly spellbound! The Daughters of Liberty Easter egg dropped in Episode 4 is not only intriguing but also hints at some fascinating possibilities for the MCU.

Who Are the Daughters of Liberty?
In the 2019 issue #7 of Captain America, written by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Adam Kubert, the Daughters of Liberty were introduced. These characters are a fictionalized version of the historical group who mastered survival skills in colonial times, including magical abilities taught by Agatha. The team has persisted through history, with notable members such as Peggy Carter and Harriet Tubman, who held the title of Dryad, the leader of the group.
Today, Sharon Carter reestablished the Daughters of Liberty, with the intention of clearing Steve Rogers’ name from a murder he didn’t commit. This updated version of the group consisted of Misty Knight, Bobbi Morse (also known as Mockingbird), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman), Ava Ayala (White Tiger), Maya Lopez (Echo), and Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow). Although it’s uncertain if this contemporary form of the group will materialize in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Agatha’s recognition of their shared history might pave the way for the emergence of this all-female team.

In the series “Agatha All Along“, notorious character Agatha Harkness experiences a fall from power following a teen with a gothic demeanor helping to release her from a twisted enchantment. Her curiosity is sparked when he implores her to accompany him on the Witches’ Path, an ancient trail of trials. If successfully completed, this path grants a witch what they lack most. Beyond Kathryn Hahn, the cast of Agatha All Along includes Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, with Debra Jo Rupp and Patti LuPone. Additionally, Aubrey Plaza is also part of the cast. The executive producers for this series are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, and Jac Schaeffer. Directors for the show include Jac Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg, and Gandja Montiero.
