Until Dawn Movie Wraps Filming

As a long-time fan of horror games, I can hardly contain my excitement as the film adaptation of Until Dawn officially wraps up production! With David F. Sandberg at the helm (the man behind Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation, and even Shazam!), this movie is shaping up to be a terrifying masterpiece. I’ve been following the progress closely on Instagram, and seeing that filming has finally wrapped up just gives me goosebumps!

The Until Dawn movie, which was officially announced as under development in January and began filming in August, has achieved another significant step in its production process.

Director David F. Sandberg (known for movies like Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation, and Shazam!) announced on Instagram that production on the cinematic version of the critically-acclaimed 2015 Sony and Supermassive Games horror game has been completed.

The movie “Until Dawn” is jointly produced by PlayStation Productions and Screen Gems, featuring an ensemble cast consisting of Maia Mitchell, Belmont Cameli, Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, and Odessa A’zion. In addition, Peter Stormare, who played the enigmatic Dr. Hill in the game, also reappears in his role.

A reboot of the game “Until Dawn,” created by Ballistic Moon, was launched on both PS5 and PC platforms recently; however, it hasn’t managed to draw a large crowd on PC since its debut.

In our assessment of the revamped version, we gave it an 8 out of 10, stating, “Despite acknowledging the justification behind criticisms about its price tag and doubts about whether it was necessary at all, the remake of Until Dawn ultimately emerges as a robust and improved iteration of a contemporary horror masterpiece.” You can read the entire review by following this link.

According to a recent disclosure, it appears that a follow-up to the game Until Dawn is currently being worked on by the first-party PlayStation studio Firesprite. For further details, you can click here.
