As a seasoned gamer and comic book enthusiast with over three decades of Marvel Universe immersion under my belt, I must say that the recent developments in the Scarlet Witch series have me positively spellbound! The upcoming collaboration between Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) from “Agatha All Along” and the Scarlet Witch is a masterstroke of synergy, bridging the gap between our beloved MCU and the comic book realm.

The upcoming issues of Marvel’s Scarlet Witch series will showcase Kathryn Hahn’s character, Agatha Harkness, on one of its covers. As the fourth week of “Agatha All Along” approaches, we follow Agatha and her coven as they navigate the challenges of the Witches’ Road. In “WandaVision,” Marvel fans were introduced to Agatha, who clashed with Wanda Maximoff before transforming into the Scarlet Witch. Due to the immense popularity of Kathryn Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha Harkness, she received her own spin-off on Disney+ and has also gained significant attention in the comics through de-aging. Given the growing bond between the Scarlet Witch and Agatha within the MCU and comics, it seems appropriate that a Scarlet Witch comic will now feature Agatha on its cover.

In November, Marvel unveiled a variant cover for Scarlet Witch #6, showcasing Greg Hopwood’s concept art of Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness from ‘Agatha All Along’. Penned by Steve Orlando and illustrated by Lorenzo Tammetta, this eagerly awaited issue finds Wanda accepting a new student at Agatha’s behest. This is the introduction of Amaranth! However, the origins of the young sorceress remain a mystery, and it seems that something has caused Agatha to forgo mentoring her instead.

In an exclusive reveal, ComicBook got a sneak peek at Scarlet Witch #6, introducing a fresh character – Amaranth, who is Wanda Maximoff’s new protégé. This vibrant newcomer was brought to life by Jen Bartel and is part of Marvel’s New Champions Variant Cover initiative. Furthermore, Amaranth will be incorporated into the main cast of the upcoming New Champions series.

Orlando expressed his fascination with Amaranth ever since she graced Jen Bartel’s stunning variant cover. He pondered about her identity and background, more like unraveling a mystery. When the opportunity to incorporate Amaranth into SCARLET WITCH presented itself, allowing him to delve into those enigmas alongside the rest of the creative team, he couldn’t resist. Introducing Amaranth through the Last Door provides us with an opportunity to flip Wanda’s relationship with a character who presents a formidable, mysterious entity that she finds challenging to decipher – almost the opposite of her earlier experiences.

Other variant covers for Scarlet Witch #6, on sale November 20th, include a foil variant by Meghan Hetrick, a variant by Iv?n Talavera, and a variant cover by Leirix that will also be available as a virgin variant cover.
