WWE Monday Night Raw: Will Sami Zayn Actually Dethrone Gunther to Make Room For Goldberg Match?

WWE Monday Night Raw: Will Sami Zayn Actually Dethrone Gunther to Make Room For Goldberg Match?

As a seasoned wrestling fan with decades of memories etched into my mind, I can confidently say that tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw is shaping up to be a thrilling event! Sami Zayn versus Gunther is a match that promises excitement and unpredictability, given their past encounters. However, it seems like the odds are stacked against our underdog hero, considering Gunther’s impressive reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

As a gamer in the WWE universe, I’m on a mission to claim my first world championship title. After Gunther’s win against Randy Orton at WWE Bash in Berlin, I stepped up and challenged him on WWE Monday Night Raw. I reminded him of our victory at WrestleMania 40, his first singles pinfall loss on the main roster, and that defeat which ended his record-setting reign as WWE Intercontinental Champion – all reasons why I deserve a shot at his current title. Tonight, it’s official: Gunther vs. me on WWE Monday Night Raw!

Even though Zayn has a history of beating Gunther, this particular match seemed to favor the current Imperium leader. Gunther is renowned for his extended title reigns, and he only recently claimed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship two months ago, defeating then-champion Damian Priest at SummerSlam to win it.

Then, this weekend happened.

Midway through the WWE Bad Blood spectacle, I found myself on the edge of my seat as Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, stepped into the ring to unveil a new title – the WWE Crown Jewel Championship. This prestigious accolade would be awarded to the victors of the champion versus champion bouts at the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel event next month.

“You’re next, boy,” Goldberg said to the camera as the segment concluded.

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve seen Goldberg being referred to as a “WWE Crown Jewel” performer in recent years. You see, he’s been a regular on WWE shows held in Saudi Arabia, where they seem to have a generous budget for bringing back the legends of yesteryear to put on a show. If Goldberg vs. Gunther is going to take place, it’s most likely going to be at the upcoming “WWE Crown Jewel” event next month. However, it’s important to note that the WWE World Heavyweight Champion currently has a match scheduled against the WWE Champion, so we’ll have to wait and see how things unfold.

As a die-hard WWE fan, I can’t help but speculate about the potential showdown between Goldberg and Gunther at the upcoming premium live event. The most straightforward way for this dream match to materialize is if Sami Zayn takes home the gold tonight on WWE Monday Night Raw. This victory would pave the way for a thrilling clash between Zayn and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel, a bout that seems more feasible to arrange than Rhodes vs. Gunther.

In a potential match between Zayn and the newly-crowned champion Zayn, an unexpected victory by Zayn wouldn’t faze him too much, or alternatively, the more experienced Rhodes might emerge victorious after a grueling battle that strengthens both their reputations. Conversely, in a matchup between Rhodes and Gunther, it’s likely Gunther who will come out on top. A defeat like that wouldn’t have a significant impact on Rhodes as he prepares for future collaborations with Kevin Owens and The Rock.

Goldberg’s attendance at WWE Bad Blood has turned the otherwise predictable matches of the fall into an uncertainty. Could WWE strip Gunther of his title just to arrange a three-minute bout with Goldberg? Is it fair for Zayn to win his first world championship this way? If Zayn vs. Rhodes is indeed a better champion versus champion match than Rhodes vs. Gunther, then would it not be more appropriate for that matchup instead?

All will be answered when WWE Monday Night Raw airs tonight at 8 PM ET on USA Network.
